Feedback Workshop: Four Hours of Intensive Training and Practical Skills

Learn with LOGEX 12.Months.5 2025

Curious what a workshop looks like when four hours fly by, yet you leave full of energy, inspiration, and practical skills? Our recent feedback training showed that when great trainers, an open atmosphere, and a willingness to learn come together, you get an experience where growth happens almost naturally. And the best part? We practiced everything hands‑on, right in the room.

On Wednesday, we took part in an interactive workshop focused on giving and receiving feedback, led by Kristýna Čončka and Radek Hollein. The session brought together not only us from LOGEX, but also participants from other companies, creating an interesting mix of experiences and different perspectives from practice.

The program focused on how feedback can support growth, motivation, better decision‑making, and the development of open and trusting relationships in the workplace. We learned the key principles of effective feedback, and most importantly, we had the chance to put them into practice right away.

The workshop was strongly practice‑oriented. The twelve of us trained both model and real situations—sometimes as a full group, sometimes in smaller teams. The atmosphere was built on a sense of psychological safety; the so‑called Vegas rule applied, meaning that all stories and personal sharing stayed strictly within the workshop. Throughout the entire session, refreshments and drinks were available so nothing would distract us from focusing and learning.

We met in the Titanium T Tower Boutique, in the meeting room on the 10th floor, with a beautiful view of Špilberk and the center of Brno. After a short introduction to the theory, we spent hours practicing, observing, and learning together. At the end, the trainers summarized the key takeaways and recommendations that we can immediately apply in our day‑to‑day work.

Key feedback principles we took away:

  • Courage to step out of our comfort zone and talk openly and respectfully about the behavior of others.
  • Interest, because without genuine interest, feedback cannot be specific or truly useful.
  • Subjectivity, which helps keep conversations safe and clear—for example by using phrases like “I feel…” or “I’ve noticed…”.
  • Focus on actions, rather than on personality or outcomes. Behavior is what can actually be changed.
  • Concreteness, which gives feedback real meaning and impact.

The main message emphasized throughout the workshop was that feedback is not an objective truth, but a subjective viewpoint. Thanks to this perspective, giving and receiving feedback becomes more natural and can become a truly effective tool for improving relationships and results.

We rated the workshop very positively, especially due to its practical format, open atmosphere, and professional delivery. We are taking away new skills, concrete techniques, and the motivation to work with feedback consciously and consistently.
